Odium es el álbum debut de los griegos Wothrosch. El Lp contiene ocho opresivos e intensos temas de Black Metal con elementos Doom y Sludge. Guitarras distorsionadas a menudo disonantes, voces guturales se alternan con gritos lacerantes, inesperados cambios de tempo y patrones rítmicos propios, les alejan de los trillados clichés del Metal Extremo. Las composiciones son tan inquietantes y sofocantes que resulta agotador en el mejor sentido de la palabra.

“Odium de Wothrosch es una suerte de lejano ruido de fondo que se hace ensordecedor, desesperante y catártico hasta la locura, remitiéndonos a existencias imaginarias tocadas por el infortunio o la fatalidad del destino, y que hoy se desprenden de las pesadillas remotas de estos tres amos de la destrucción. “Τα παιδιά έχουν δημιουργήσει κάτι στο οποίο μπορούν να βασιστούν για το μέλλον και μόνο καλύτερα μπορούν να γίνουν τα πράγματα, όσο κι αν αυτό φαντάζει ήδη δύσκολο με την ποιότητα που έχει το “Odium”. Οι Wothrosch γίνονται από το πρώτο τους μόλις άλμπουμ μια υπολογίσιμη δύναμη για όλη την Ελληνική σκηνή, ενώ θεωρώ πως όσοι για Χ λόγους δεν έχουν «πιάσει» το vibe που μεταδίδει, είναι προ μεγάλων εκπλήξεων σε ότι θα ακολουθήσει στο μέλλον.
